The Phnom Penh Post quotes the firms Sales and Marketing Director Un Chanboran as saying that KeyBridge International has invested more than USD140 million in its local business. Cambodias potential, political and economic environment and the number of subscribers are favourable to start operations With a competitive rate, good technology and flexible packages, we hope many clients will subscribe with us, the executive said. The Hong Kong-based company purchased a 65% stake in ISP Emaxx in 2014, before acquiring the remaining shares in the Cambodian operator, which will now provide retail telecoms services under the Kingtel brand name. Fibre-optic broadband services are initially limited to Phnom Penh, but will eventually be expanded to seven other provinces and cities, including Siem Reap, Battambang and Sihanoukville.
