Windows 8 are the newest blood line of Microsoft windows. And if like me your installed 8 on the day it came in market and now you are finding a way to upgrade your windows 8 to 8.1. As 8.1 is the latest version of windows. I myself also suggest you upgrade to 8.1 as it is more user-friendly than windows 8. As Microsoft is now competing with Apple�s iOS and Google�s Android OS. So it is very common practice for Microsoft to update their version just like apple and android. If you are on windows 7 and want to upgrade then this post can�t work for you.   1. If you visit windows store now. As I might think if you are reading this post you are on windows 8 and the first thing you can see in windows store is windows 8.1 update app. If you can't find it you can simply write ms windows store: windows upgrade and you will find your desired update.
     
  2. Log in to your Microsoft account to download that upgrade.
     
  3. Once you logged in to find the app and download it on your PC. As soon as downloading is finished your PC is asking you for a restart. You can simply press the restart now button on the interface of the upgrade to restart your PC and to start upgrading from windows 8 to 8.1.
     
  4. As computer restarts, it will show you a windows software license terms and conditions. Simply press I accept this will lead you to installation settings page. Leave settings as it is as you have plenty of time to change settings afterward.
     
  5. Now upgrade will proceed and once it complete. You will ask to login into your Microsoft account once again and to fill up a little personal information form.
     
  6. Now you are welcome to use windows 8.1.
