Lous Start
After some time of working as an equity analyst on Wall Street, Kerner began working from the operating side of the business. He acquired companies and websites in order to grow them. After running his first company, .tv, he acquired Bolt, one of the original social media networking websites. He grew Bolt drastically in the few years that he ran it, and began working toward growing more social media sites in the same way.
Bolt was started in 96, so it was literally one of the first social networks. It had half a million kids when I bought it in 2003 along with the original founder. We grew it to 20 million kids over three years. A lot of the best websites for kids were started by 16-18-20 year-old kids who are great at building sites, but are not very good at monetizing them, and we were great at monetizing, he explained.
In fact, Kerner attempted to purchase Facebook from Mark Zuckerberg within the sites first six months of being launched. From the beginning, he expecte
