If you want to take screen-shots on your android device then it is little bit confusing, because the way of screen-shots is different in different android phones. Below are the different ways to take a screen-shot on Android Cell phones.
For Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0) and Above:

For Android 2.3 and Below:
Unfortunately, mostly Android 2.3 and below doesn't have screen-shotting built in. However, some devices (like many Samsung phones,Htc) have these features, but it varies from phone to phone. For example, on mostly Htc & Samsung phones, you can press the Home and Power buttons at the same time to take a screen-shot or firstly press the Power button and then Home button for taking screen-shots.
If you have rooted your phone, you have a few options. You can install apps like Screenshot UX, which app will allow you to take screen-shots with shortcuts of varieties, or you could flash a custom ROM that has screen-shotting built-in (like CyanogenMod).
There are more screenshot methods than we could possibly list here, but these are some of the easiest (if you aren't rooted but know how to use ADB, you can get a screen-shot from the command line, for example). Check your mobile phone and see what it supports out of the box....HOPE THIS HELPS....
If u have any problem ask in comments...THANKS!!!
