There are couple of things that i believe Disqus developers team needs to improve, even in the latest update of 2012. Even though the refresh speed improved pretty much, still it lacks the charm that we wish it should have. Though the comment gets published right away followed by the notification email that comes in with in few seconds, the latest comment widget takes years to update that still bugs many webmasters.
On average, it takes around 10-15 minutes for the recent comment widget to show up latest comments. Also it would have been great if Disqus team would make it much easier to switch on between dofollow/nofollow attributes with the help of a single click.

Plus the only thing that i would install Blogger comment platform is its speed. Its pretty quick to publish the comments. Plus its loads up pretty fast as compared to Disqus or any other 3rd party blog commenting system
Now the down sides are much more harsh. With the world moving on, web development languages becoming more proficient, there really isn't any space for Blogger comment system any more. Disqus, Intense Debate or even WordPress comments systems beat it with a huge margin in terms of looks.
Even though i am very hopeful for this change soon in Blogger, but to date, it doesn't compete with the beauty of 3rd party plugins at all.
Again it can be the matter of personnel preference, but today, style has a great importance in terms of attracting and engaging your readers. That what lacks in Blogger native comments. Plus its been over an year and half that we have been using Disqus here at BloggingeHow, and it works like a charm. The more we use it, the more hardcore fan we become.
Before Disqus 2012, we certainly had reservations but its huge gift for the webmasters from the Disqus, that we were blessed with such amazing new updates.
I really hope that Blogger comment system gets a boost too in near future.
